SOCS-I: Teaching Introductory Physics 2.1-2.7

Introduce and build a concept. Have students find why it’s important. Only after, introduce the jargon. This puts emphasis on the idea and not on the memorization of a word.

  2. When do students decide that a concept is important? Students will go through the motion mostly because it is school and that is what you do at school. How do we help them get involved in their own learning processes? Big questions!
